Locations of air measurement network stations in Schleswig-Holstein Display Service
Description
For the continuous recording of air pollutant concentrations in Schleswig-Holstein, a measuring network of automatic measuring stations is operated. Under the existing laws, the following tasks will be fulfilled: — Determination of exposure to industrial plants and traffic areas — Determination of background load (rural, urban) — Monitoring of limit values — Monitoring of long-term development — Cause analysis — Verification of the effectiveness of measures to change the air pollutant situation. Which components are measured at which location varies depending on the purpose of the measuring stations. Measurement strategies, measurement techniques, measurement and calibration methods, data evaluation, data exchange, information to the public and the assessment are defined by EU regulations and federal regulations. They are implemented uniformly across Germany and increasingly across Europe. There are extensive reporting obligations towards the EU.
