Weiwerd business park in the municipality of Delfzijl is intended for high-quality small-scale activities in the field of knowledge and innovation, which is linked to the existing chemical industry at Oosterhorn. Only light forms of activity may be established on Weiwerd. The terrain is therefore different from the large-scale industrial area Oosterhorn that is intended for heavy industry. The site is about 14 hectares in size.
