Description
This map with historical landmarks shows buildings that, seen from a distance, are a landmark for a village, city or region due to their height. In order to arrive at this selection, categories of buildings from the national monument register and the cultural-historical atlas were checked and assessed on the basis of their height. These are buildings that usually have a significant height, such as windmills, churches, water towers, industrial buildings, mansions and castles, bridges, town halls, lighthouses, gates, offices, fortress towers and watchtowers.
