Aviation; monthly figures for Dutch airports of national importance
Description
The number of aircraft movements, the number of passengers, the amount of cargo and mail at the Dutch airports of national importance.
Overview of the content of the EU figure in this publication:
The composition of the European Union up to 2004 (EU-15): Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
In 2005, the European Union (EU-25) was enlarged to include: Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Bulgaria and Romania were added in 2007 (EU-27).
Croatia was added in 2014 (EU-28).
As of 1 February 2020, the United Kingdom has left the EU.
Data available from: 1997 (annual figures) and January 1999 (monthly figures).
Status of figures:
The figures up to and including 2022 are definitive as of January 2023, the figures are provisional. After receiving newer monthly files from the airport managing bodies, it may become necessary to adjust older data for the current year. After receiving the complete annual file, the monthly figures will be finalized and the final annual figure will also be available on StatLine.
Until December 2020, data on the United Kingdom have been included in figures from EU countries. This is to ensure the comparability of the data. As of January 2021, data for the United Kingdom have been included in ‘Other Europe’.
As of 8 November 2022, the figures for Eindhoven airport for the reporting period April, May and June 2022 have been adjusted as a result of fulfilled information. As a result, the edge totals for the months of April, May and June 2022 have also been adjusted.
Due to renovation works of the runway of Maastricht Aachen Airport, there was no air traffic at this airport from 8 May 2023 to 30 June 2023.

When will there be new figures?
New monthly figures are usually published 1 month after the end of the reporting period (calendar month).
