This table lists the numbers of uniquely identified clients of The Legal Loket with personal characteristics by jurisdiction. The anonymous customers of the Loket are excluded from this. The total number of unique customers is higher, but the number is not known. Customers can have multiple contacts in multiple jurisdictions. As a result, the total number of customers is lower than the sum of the number of customers within the underlying jurisdictions. In 2004, Stichting Het Juridisch Loket was founded. With this independent foundation, every citizen can receive legal advice through different channels, without any kind of conflict of interest. As of the summer of 2006, all 30 branches are open. The Legal Portal is funded by the Ministry of Justice and Security. Since July 2011, legal seekers receive a discount on their own contribution if they first visit The Legal Loket with their legal problem and are referred to a lawyer. In order to demonstrate the efforts made before Het Juridisch Loket redirects a client to a lawyer, since 1 July 2011, the legal staff must record, among other things, the most important personal data of all customers. Until then, more than 50 percent of customers remained anonymous when registering the service. As a result of this change, from 2011/2012 onwards, a significantly larger proportion of the Legal Loket’s customers can be identified and included in this table. Relatively few changes in characteristics of clients of The Legal Loket can be seen. Data available from 2004 to 2019. Status of the figures: The data is final.
