Course participants; personal characteristics, 2016
Description
This table provides data on the number and proportion of persons in the working population who have participated in at least one work-related course and the number of persons in the working population who did not take part in work-related courses. The proportion of the working population taking a work-related course is also presented the number and proportion that at least one work-related course (partially) is paid by the employer.
The population surveyed is the Dutch population aged 25 to 65. In 2017, figures from the regular, periodically recurring Adult Education Survey (AES) will be published for the second time. The frequency is once every five to six years (see 4. Sources and methods). Because there are design effects (of unknown size), no time series from the AES are published, but separate tables for each edition.

The figures in this table are final.
Changes as of 18 April 2019:
The underlying encodings of the classifications used in this table (Personal Characteristics) have been adjusted.
These are now in line with the standard coding established by CBS.
The structure and data of the table have not been modified.
When are new figures coming?
The frequency of appearance is once every five to six years. New figures are expected to be published by the end of 2022.
