Hilles

Description

Hills and curves refer to the numbers of hills and curves, the more detailed description of which is documented in a separate document. The target category is based on the determination of the relative elevation difference between two consecutive road points using barometer (atmospheric pressure). The aim of the method is to get a rough picture of the refractive points of the alignment line, so the measurement is usually carried out only on the top of a hill and at the bottom of a valley. The measurement is carried out centrally (separate instructions), processed by its own pre-system and then transferred to the road register. The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency is responsible for the centralised maintenance of the information. The target category is not versionable. Covers roads. A comprehensive inventory of main roads and regional roads is sought, other roads only according to the special needs of the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment.
