Recovery areas (Environmental Regulation)
Description
This file contains recovery areas as laid down in the Environmental Ordinance for the Province of Groningen In this Environmental Ordinance we have included rules for the use of the land in recovery areas. Retention areas are intended for controlled intake and temporary storage of bosom water in case of flooding (high bosom water levels) in order to prevent flooding or breaking of bosom quays elsewhere. If possible, we also give recovery areas other functions (e.g. nature, recreation). Recovery areas are deployed more often than on average once every hundred years.
