Description
The annual average rainfall map belongs to a group of thematic maps based on agroclimatic variables called Characterization or Agroclimatic Information. The Pluviometry map corresponds to a model of the average annual rainfall represented through a map of hypsometric inks, in which each region of Spain is characterized according to the amount of fallen water expressed in millimeters of height. This information is produced by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food by geostatistical interpolation methods (kriging) from the data of 4189 stations belonging to the network of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
