Description
This table contains data on the size of the motor vehicle park by province (residential/establishment province of the owner of the vehicle), broken down by passenger cars and motorcycles (per 1000 inhabitants) and commercial vehicles (by type), excluding mopeds. The figures are based on the registration of RDW. With the help of this registration, counts were made of all vehicles with current registration plates that appeared in the registration file on 1 January of the year in question.
From 2004 onwards, the total number of vehicles is not quite comparable to previous years due to separate registration of trailers, caravans and semi-trailers.
