Description
Mineral resources is a nationwide product and contains point data with information about Sweden's mineral and rock occurrences, as well as subsumed occurrences with natural gas and oil. Currently, there is information on about 20,000 occurrences. Data includes everything from small deposits such as mineralized hobs and tightenings to closed and active mines or quarries as well as mineral deposits known through core drilling. For all occurrences, there is information about the name, location, location accuracy, economic status and which metal, mineral or rock type is of interest at the site, as well as literature references to the information. For a large part of the occurrences there is also information about the size of mining holes, host rock, mineral composition and age of formation.
