10.40.12 Surf Ban

Description

The Surf Ban theme shows the areas where surfing is not allowed. Most places around the fjord are allowed, but from Haurvig Church down to the Nyminde Stream at Nymindegab, surfing is prohibited. The same goes for the Tippers. It is also forbidden to surf in the area immediately northeast of Skaven Strand and on the entire stretch up to the north of Klægbanken. At Skaven Strand special attention must be paid to the bird island “High Sande”. These areas are important breeding and resting areas for birds and must therefore be disturbed as little as possible.
