Renewable Energy Atlas Flanders - Additional potential energy production from ground-connected heat pumps - REV2030 scenario
Description
This map layer is part of the Renewable Energy Atlas Flanders. In the ‘Space for Energy Flanders 2030’ scenario (REV2030), the additional production potential for ground-connected heat pumps that can be realised within the available space is limited on the basis of a potential figure that is set for 2030, taking into account the current context and policy objectives. We limit ourselves here to the non-built area of the residential area excluding the protection areas for water catchment areas, non-accessible gardens and areas that already have a ground-connected heat pump. For the estimation of the production potential, use is made of the Database Subsurface Flanders and key figures of Terra Energy. Data current trends this maximum potential is then limited to 1%. For more background information, see the report. The hotspots in Flanders are presented with a filtered image of the results. The figures per municipality can also be consulted in the attached table.
