Overview of supported broadband area projects
Description
The creation of fibre optic networks is fundamentally the task of the market. In areas where it is not possible for network operators to develop economically, the federal and state governments are jointly promoting expansion. To this end, the Federal Government launched the Federal Broadband Development Funding Programme in 2015. The country participates pro rata in the financing (co-financing). The data set contains an overview of the funding projects co-financed by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which were finally approved by the federal government. The overview shows the area projects. There are further data sets for commercial areas as well as for schools & hospitals.
