Finnish Bird Atlas

Description

The aim of the Bird Atlas is to find out the distributions of nesting bird species in Finland and to study changes in the distributions of species. The information on the occurrence of bird species was collected from 10x10 km2 uniform coordinate grids throughout Finland in 1974–79 (1st atlas), 1986–89 (2nd atlas), 2006–2010 (3rd atlas) and 2022-2025 (4th atlas). The data of the 1st-3rd Atlas is available as CSV files by uniform coordinate grid, the data of the 4th Atlas is available as individual observations via the Laji.fi portal and as species maps via the Atlas result service (lintuatlas.fi).
