G3Dv2_01_Q, thickness non-tabulary Quartair
Description
This layer gives the thickness of the Quaternary deposits of the Geological 3D model of Flanders. The Quaternary sediments in Flanders form a layer that covers all older deposits. This layer includes the non-tabular Quartar units. The Formations of Weelde, Malle and Merksplas were not included in the mapping of the basis of the Quartair, but were modelled separately. The thickness chart is formatted based on the layer G3DV2_01_Quartair base and G3DV2_00_DEM VLAKO. The Geological 3D model was drawn up in the framework of the management agreement of the Flemish government with VITO, under the name VLAKO, on behalf of the department LNE - Department of Land and Soil Protection, Subsurface, Natural Resources.
