Common map database (FKB)
Description
Common map database is defined by the FKB product specifications adopted by the Geogrowth Forum. The FKB product specification consists of a general part describing general/common requirements for FKB and additionally a product specification for each FKB dataset describing the specific data model/data content. FKB data is data that follows the FKB product specification.
The data sets in FKB consist of, among other things, height, water, ground layer (AR5), land use, buildings, building installations, wiring, road, railway and airport.
FKB data is non-sensical and open data. The FKB data is financed through the Geogrowth cooperation, or the municipalities alone for municipalities that are outside Geogrowth. The FKB data is freely available to Norway digital parties and can be downloaded through the download solution at Geonorge. Private operators must purchase access to the data through a retailer.
