Description
The compensatory allowance is intended to contribute to the conservation of the landscape and to the conservation and promotion of sustainable management measures by promoting the sustainable use of agricultural land in less-favoured areas (mountain areas, natural disadvantaged areas and areas with specific handicaps). It also serves to preserve and improve biodiversity, including in Natura 2000 sites and in areas which are disadvantaged for natural or other specific reasons and contribute to land management with high natural value.
