Pension gap for total pension
Description
The graph below (left) shows that men receive on average a total pension of 2,324 euros per month, compared to 1,825 euros per month for women. The difference is EUR 499. The total pension of women who have recently taken their retirement pension is therefore, on average, 21% lower than that of men who have recently taken their retirement pension. As the average is strongly influenced by very high and very low pension amounts, we also give the distribution of the total pension by means of a distribution in percentiles.
