Description
Clay content of the top mineral soil horizon for all field blocks in Lower Saxony, Bremen and Hamburg in accordance with GLÖZ 6 GAPKondV § 17 ‘Minimum requirement for soil cover at the most sensitive times’.
For the current field blocks 2023, this map shows the soil types of the top mineral soil horizon as well as the associated tone contents according to soil mapping instructions 5th edition (KA5).
The basis for Lower Saxony is the translated soil estimate data 2018.
Areas without soil estimation are replenished by the soil map 1:50.000 (BK50).
For Bremen, the soil data from the soil estimate and the soil survey map 1:50.000 (BÜK50).
For Hamburg, the soil data come from the soil overview map 1:200.000 (BÜK200).
This card is considered as a reference card to the clay content with regard to the differing requirements for minimum soil coverage.
Note:
This sound card (tone content 17 %) refers only to GLÖZ 6/GAPKondV § 17 ‘minimum requirement for land cover at the most sensitive times’.
For an exemption from the winter plough ban for erosion-prone areas (GLÖZ 5, KWasser1 and KWasser2), a clay content of more than 25 % applies in Lower Saxony and is regulated in § 3 of the Lower Saxony Erosion Protection Ordinance.
