Groundwater priority areas
Description
This data set contains groundwater priority areas for securing the drinking water supply, which are designated as zones.
In the "Type" field, these areas are assigned to the following categories:
1) Water conservation areas (legal and planned water conservation areas for the precautionary protection of groundwater, drinking water and medicinal springs).
2) Water management framework regulations for groundwater and drinking water.
3) Regional water management programmes for groundwater and drinking water.
Declaration:
Groundwater priority areas contain area data that technically go beyond "general groundwater protection", i.e. those of special and preventive groundwater protection.
Water conservation areas, which also fall within this topic area, are presented in a separate layer due to the clarity.
