Solar cadastre NRW: Open-area photovoltaics – support according to EEG 2023

Description: The NRW State Office for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection (LANUV NRW) operates the NRW solar register in the energy atlas NRW specialist information system. There, for the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia, the areas that are in principle eligible under the Renewable Energies Act 2023 for an invitation to tender pursuant to EEG2023 §37 for outdoor solar installations (www.solarkataster.nrw.de). No parts of these areas have been removed by exclusion areas. Unlike the old EEG, the backdrop is divided into areas for ‘normal’ open-air solar installations (EEG2023 §37(1) No. 2), such as on edge strips of motorways and railways, dumps and landfills and agricultural land in disadvantaged areas, and ‘special’ open-air solar installations (EEG2023 §37(1)(3)), such as on roofing via parking lots or as agri-photovoltaics on agricultural arable and grassland areas outside the less-favoured areas. Data bases are the ATKIS-BASIS-DLM and the backdrop of the less-favoured areas.
