Description

Digital orthophotos (DOP) are mosaics of digitally equalized aerial images and depict all objects and facts visible at the time of recording in parallel perspective. The Digital Terrain Model (DGM) is used for equalization. The aerial photographs, as the basis of the DOP100g (1953), were flown in the summer of 1953 in the then Soviet occupation zone for the purpose of updating the topographic maps and evaluating reparations. The data of the aerial images were subsequently processed radiometrically, so that the orthophotos look more even. However, this can also lead to differences in the transitions of the composite images.
