Agricultural land under urban ownership

Description

This dataset contains the agricultural land that is owned by the city of Cologne. The data set was created by the intersection of two data extracts from ALKIS (Official Property Register Information System). One excerpt contained all parcels owned by the city of Cologne, the other containing all objects of the species “AX_Agriculture” (as of 17.1.2023). In ALKIS, AX_Agriculture (ID 43001) is a type of object belonging to the object species group ‘Vegetation’ (ID 43000), which is assigned to the object species area ‘actual use’. After intersection of the geometries, adjacent surfaces with identical vegetation characteristics were combined into one object. In addition, the area content of the individual newly created objects was determined and added as an attribute to the geometries. The vegetation characteristics according to ALKIS data extract (see above) are recorded in the two attribute columns “Value” and “Identifier”. “Value” is a four-digit value assigned to the categories (vegetation characteristics) specified in the column “Identifier”.
