Bonneblad historical military maps from 1865
Description
Bonneblades are the first colour printed maps of the former Topographisch Bureau. The map sheets were made from 1865 on a scale of 1:25,000. Shortly after the Topographic Military Map was completed, a need arose for a more detailed map in color. This resulted in the Bonneblades, which were printed from about 1865. The Bonneblades owe their name to the projection method with which they are made: Bonne's projection.
