Description
Natural monuments are legally determined individual creations of nature or corresponding areas up to 5 ha, the special protection of which is required
1. for scientific, natural history or regional reasons; or
2. because of their rarity, peculiarity and beauty.
In addition, natural monuments may be established for the protection of communities or habitats of species endangered or strictly protected.
