Background values of materially low-impact soils in Schleswig-Holstein

Description

The data set “Background values of materially low-influenced soils of Schleswig-Holstein” contains for 12 substances or groups of substances the 90s percentile values of 13 evaluation classes as a nationwide map display. The evaluation classes are based on information on the uses of arable, grassland and forest as well as soil (soil/peat, soil types). Data on the following substances or groups of substances are included: Arsenic, lead, cadmium, chromium, copper nickel, mercury, zinc, PAK16, benzo(a)pyrene, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB6), dioxins and furans. The maps show regionally as typical substance contents as background values. The 50s, 75s, 90s and 95 percentile values of the total data stock are used as class limits for the colour gradation. In comparison to a distribution of area-related units valid for all uses across Schleswig-Holstein, they tend to be well represented.
