Description
The information contained in this data set is a raster with the orientation of the slopes of the seabed of the study area in the Bank of Galicia.
This is the representation of the spatial distribution of the orientations of each pixel following a range of colors that represent the different orientations (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW).
The area covered by the data provided covers SCI ESZZ12001 Banco de Galicia.
The preparation of this set of geographical information began in 2010, thanks to the BANGAL 0710 and BANGAL 0711 oceanographic campaigns. A reanalysis of these data was undertaken in 2019 using new techniques and algorithms.
The resulting geographic information is stored in a spatial database.

These works have been financed thanks to the LIFE IP INTEMARES Project (LIFE-IP INTEMARES - Integrated, Innovative and Participatory Management for N2000 network in the Marine Environment - LIFE15 IPE/ES/000012). This integrated project has the challenge of laying the foundations to effectively manage the marine areas of the Natura 2000 Network and complete the work and progress promoted within the framework of the LIFE + INDEMARES project, which managed to take a great step in terms of declaring new areas.
