Pension gap of statutory pensions by applied rate
Description
The graphs below show the pension share at the isolated rate and at the household rate for men (left) and women (right) who receive only an employee and/or self-employed retirement pension. The results show that the number of pensions at the household rate is considerably higher for men than for women. 16% of men who recently retired did so at the household rate, compared with only 1% of women. The pension may only be calculated at the household rate where the pensioner’s spouse has no income or where the pensioner has limited income. The average gross pension amounts for men (left, red bars) and women (right, green bars) are presented below by applied rate. The absolute difference between the two is indicated in grey. This is therefore the pension gap in euro. You can select yourself the applied rate for which you want to view the pension amounts. The global situation is displayed by default.
