Vahti Guide 2006/5 Information Security Instructions for Case Management
Description
This guideline on the promotion of information security in case management and information systems supporting it is intended for persons working in the planning and development of document management and information management in public administration organisations.
Documented information is part of the organisation’s capital, in which case its quality requirements must be safeguarded, processing practices carefully designed and protected. Requirements relating to the quality of documented data include the guarantee of authenticity, integrity, reliability and usability. In practice, the implementation of the requirements relating to the management and quality of documented data is largely about ensuring their data security. These requirements are also contained in section 18 of the Act on the Openness of Government Activities (621/1999). (29.9.2011)
