This data is collected as part of the Integrated Measurement and Information System (IMIS) by the Länder on behalf of the Federal Government (see [http://www.bfs.de/DE/themen/ion/notfallschutz/messnetz/imis/imis_node.html]. The points shown represent the respective administrative unit (municipality).
