Coastal erosion caused by shipping in 2007
Description
The dataset is an estimate of shore erosion caused by large ships on shores along fairways, produced with the help of spatial data modelling. Only existing spatial data sets have been used to produce it, and field verification has not been carried out. The results obtained are classified as reasonable in categories 1 (low erosion) to 5 (high erosion). The material was produced by Metsähallitus (2007) and compiled in connection with the Interreg IIIB-funded BALANCE project. Territorial coverage: Turku - Stockholm deep waterway shores between Turku - Lövskärs fjärden.
