Land use
Land use in the 15 districts and the entire city according to selected types of use. The land use is processed annually by the municipal office for real estate and geoinformation at the level of the districts, based on the Official Real Estate Cadastral Information System (ALKIS). Due to method changes, the data will only be listed from 2015 onwards.
Land use is reported in hectares according to the following types of use:
- Settlement area and of it residential area as well as industrial and commercial area
- Traffic area
- Agriculture and forest area together
In Constance there are also areas that are not assigned to any district, e.g. the Seerhein and others. Therefore, the sum of the district areas does not give the total urban land use.
