Measures to reduce secondary particulate matter formation from ammonia emissions from agriculture
Description
The report contains a comprehensive description of potential measures to reduce ammonia emissions from Austria's agriculture. In cooperation with the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, recommendations for measures were developed and statements on the emission potential were made. The focus was on the applicability in practice, the acceptance of the respective measure, the specific costs (economic efficiency) and achievable reduction potentials (efficiency). The recommendation is broken down by mode of operation in which relevant emissions are generated: fodder farms (cattle farming), pig and poultry processing farms and market fruit farms (arable farming). The measures concern feeding strategy, animal husbandry, storage and application of farm manure and application of mineral fertilisers.
