Description
Dedicated protective dunes in Lower Saxony as input data for the preparation of flood hazard and flood risk maps in accordance with the Flood Risk Management Directive (HWRM Directive) 2. Cycle 2016 - 2021.The basis for processing is the data on the reference date of the 2nd Cycle of the HWRM-RL.Dedicated protective dunes to which the provisions of the Lower Saxony Dike Act (NDG) apply. Dunes acquire the property of protective dunes by dedication. The dike authority issues the dedication by ordinance, as far as this is necessary for storm surge protection and the conservation of the islands. Local circumstances must be taken into account. The protective dunes also include their safety devices.
