Citizens’ Survey — Results Text Questions (Linz)
Description
On 2011-07-07, the Stadtsenat decided on a new citizen survey, which was carried out from the end of September 2011 by the Stadtforschung Linz. As in the 2004 Citizens’ Survey, 45,000 Linz voters were invited to participate. In total, more than 9,100 people responded.
The aim of the survey was to get the opinion of the Linz population on various topics, to find out their wishes and concerns. This gives policy and administration an essential basis for future decisions.
The Citizens’ Survey was conducted for the first time in 2011 in the form of an Internet survey.
The 2011 Citizens’ Survey, like the previous citizen surveys, included several open questions that were not taken into account in the first evaluations. The analysis of these open questions is now also available in small-scale areas.
Two fundamentally open questions were asked, this was Question 3 about the problems in the residential area and question 20 on measures to increase security in Linz. In addition, there was the possibility to add additional remarks or notes in a completely free text area without any requirement.
These responses were divided into categories in order to present or evaluate the main topics.
Answers that do not show problems but emphasise positives have not been presented. Questions 3 and 20, which contain most of the information, are presented in a differentiated manner below. For question 3, 28 categories were formed, for question 20 22 categories were formed.
