In the landscape program Saarland, the landscape of the “areas of special importance for nature conservation” depicts super-local requirements with regard to open-mindedness. The permanent protection of these open-land habitats is to be achieved through extensive commercial agricultural use or orderly non-professional open-air land use. (Stand: June 2009)
