ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE: The National Village Museum “Dimitrie Gusti” — prestigious institution for the Romanian cultural landscape, with a history of 82 years, has had a spectacular evolution in recent years, its visibility nationally and internationally bringing it several trophies and quality certifications: national trade mark (registered OSIM/No 87215), European trade mark according to Registration Certificate No 121787 issued by the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks, holder of the first attestation ‘country brand’ registered since 2013. Only last year — 2017, the Museum has registered 4 new visual identities at OSIM: Fairs in the old village, itinerant exhibitions and re-registered existing brands. The Village Museum became due to the activities and visibility manifestly increased — the most visited museum in Romania and with the highest number of foreign visitors the share being over 50 % of the total number of visitors annually (2017-800,000). Recommended by Tripp Advisor, New York Times, 36 Hours, Top Choice 2015; certificate in International Quality Management System — SRAC IQ NET; Member of several international professional organisations, also having a high visibility in the European space (ICOM, ICOMOS, AEOM, AMALR, Association). Museum specialists are requested for expertise on conservation, restoration and protection of the ethnological heritage, the Museum being part of the National Technical Committee for Standardisation — CT 380 Conservation of cultural goods. Since 2013 the ISO 9001 quality standard is implemented in the museum.
