Cadastre records of the Palatinate 1820 - 1848 (HKUB)
Description
Cadastre records of the Palatinate 1820 - 1848 (HKUB)
The cadastral records of the Palatinate were created between 1820 and 1848 and were used to determine precise data for a uniform and fair taxation of land. The detailed photograph was taken graphically on a scale of 1: 5 000 or 1 : 25 000 with the help of a measuring table and tipping rule and recorded, among other things, the kink points of the land boundaries and all buildings marketed in nature. The numbers in the middle of the plots represent the ownership numbers of the owners and not the land parcel numbers that are customary today.
The multicoloured, hand-drawn originals each cover an area of 8,000 x 8,000 Bavarian feet (2.3 km x 2.3 km) on a scale of 1: 5,000 off. The original sheets have a size of 46.5 cm x 46.5 cm.
