Customer loans at Vantaa libraries
Description
The Loans for Library Customers in Vantaa contain two files.
The lending customers table contains loans from Vantaa libraries for a period of 35 consecutive days randomly selected in 2015. The table contains the following information on the borrower: gender, year of birth, postal code of the place of residence and language of service in the library system. In addition, the table shows the number of works borrowed by the customer within 35 days. The following information can be found in the customer’s loans: number of book loans, number of fiction books, number of non-fiction books, number of Finnish books, number of non-Finnish books and number of non-book loans.
The Borrowed Works table contains works borrowed by customers from Vantaa for a randomly selected 35 consecutive days in 2015. The borrowed works contain an author, title, language and descriptors. In addition, the table shows the gender and age group of the borrower.
These two files are separate. The lines between the two are mixed, so based on customer information, it is not possible to determine which works the customer has borrowed. In addition, the rows in the borrowed works file are mixed so that it is not possible to deduce which other works have been borrowed by the same borrower.
