Germany - Elbe / Fischbeck - Flood situation on 15 June 2013 - Area affected - P46

Description

The flood situation along the Elbe River remains tense. The level at the time of recording the TerraSAR-X satellite data in Tangermünde was 6.75 meters. The water areas shown in the map were recorded using TerraSAR-X data (3.25 meters spatial resolution) from 15 June 2013 (recording time: 18:52 CET). RapidEye data (recording time in 2009) with a spatial resolution of 5 meters serve as a background image. Please note that the flood situation in urban areas, under vegetation cover and in areas with steep gradients may not be fully captured due to radar geometry. This product was created within the framework contract “ZKI-DE” between the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) and the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR).
