Published technical guidelines
Description
The objective of the BSI technical guidelines (BSI-TR) is to disseminate appropriate IT security standards. Technical guidelines are therefore generally aimed at all those involved in setting up or securing IT systems. They complement the technical testing requirements of the BSI and provide criteria and methods for conformity testing of both the interoperability of IT security components and the implemented IT security requirements. Existing standards (e.g. protection profiles according to Common Criteria or interoperability standards such as ISIS-MTT) will be referenced and supplemented where appropriate. Technical guidelines are originally recommended. Their liability arises only through the individual specification of the demand provider.
