Vacancy and vacancy registers
Description
The vacancy and vacancy register (BLK) is a service developed especially for Lower Saxony municipalities for internal use. It has two main uses:
1. Display of the age structure of the inhabitants. Residents of a parcel of land are visualized by age group. Missing reporting data indicates potential vacancies. The local administration receives crucial support in urban/local development planning, e.g. schools, school paths, playgrounds, elderly and local care facilities, medical care.
2. Recording and displaying vacancies and gaps. Recording sheets (download on the right) make the work easier. The data acquisition is very simple and can be carried out without special training. Collected data provide information, for example, on spatial clusters of existing residential and commercial vacancies, on internal development potentials or imminent vacancies.
The BLK for municipalities is a service of the Lower Saxony Surveying and Cadastre Administration (VKV) and is offered by the regional directorates and the Land Surveying of the State Office for Geoinformation and Land Surveying of Lower Saxony (LGLN). It can only be used via the state intranet. The guide (download see right) describes all functions and possibilities of the BLK.
The BLK was created in the model project "Conversion instead of growth - regionally coordinated settlement development of municipalities" of the Regional Development Cooperation (REK) Weserbergland plus and was further developed in the model project of spatial planning (MORO) "Action programme regional services of general interest" of the regional management in the middle of Lower Saxony.
