A vector-based spatial dataset produced mainly from the data from Metsähallitus and the University of Jyväskylä by the Finnish Environment Institute.
Recreational opportunities refer to recreational areas, outdoor recreation routes and recreational services. The data includes a variety of summer and winter hiking trails, nature trails and accessible routes, with points such as camping areas, guided tours and activities such as swimming sites, bird towers and recreational fishing sites, as well as polygons such as nature conservation, recreation and hiking areas.
The material is suitable for tourism use. There are supplier-specific variations in the regional coverage of the data.
