Description
The heterogeneity map describes the height-heterogenicity, which was normalised with the mean height. A pixel value against 0 means that the forest structures are very homogeneous, while a value around 100 indicates a heterogeneous structure.
The map clearly depicts edge structures such as inner and outer edges of the forest.
The FVA heterogeneity map is calculated from aerial images of the last 3 years and updated annually.
