Inspire View Service Wuppertal
Description
The WMS “INSPIRE View Service Wuppertal” is an OGC and INSPIRE-compliant representation service operated by the City of Wuppertal for those spatial data of the City of Wuppertal that fall under the rules of the Geodata Access Act NRW (GeoZG NRW). The criteria for this are: Spatial reference, electronic form, thematic affiliation to an INSPIRE topic, overlap with INSPIRE data scheme, legal obligation to collect or disseminate the data. As part of the successive implementation of the EU’s INSPIRE Directive, the service is frequently, but not regularly, revised and expanded in terms of content. The development of the data offer is based on the latest version of the document "Building a European spatial data infrastructure (INSPIRE), implementation in NRW: Recommendation for action for the municipalities", published by the AG Geokom.NRW, a joint working group of the leading municipal associations in NRW and the state of NRW. The service supports selective, cross-thematic getFeatureInfo requests for all card layers. From a technical point of view, the service is an INSPIRE-compliant façade for the WMS “GeoPortal Wuppertal public data”, which provides a much broader range of spatial data concerning the urban area of Wuppertal. The spatial data presented by the service are subject to different Open Data licenses (CC BY-ND 4.0, CC BY 4.0).
