FQMS - Fuel Quality Monitoring System 2022.
Description
According to EU Directive 98/70/EC, Member States must verify compliance with the quality standards for fuels and report the results to the European Commission. In Austria, around 7.62 million tonnes of fuel were sold in 2022, of which around 6.1 million tonnes were diesel. The Federal Environment Agency analysed samples from 208 petrol stations throughout Germany, with one sample taken per petrol station. In the case of petrol, two deviations from the standard parameter for vapour pressure of the ‘Super’ fuel type and no exceedance for diesel fuel were found. All parameters of the ‘Super Plus’ gasoline type were compliant with the standard. The maximum value of 10 mg/kg sulphur content for marine fuels to be complied with in accordance with EU Directive 2009/30/EC was not exceeded for any of the six samples analysed.
