Soil height map, basic map for the Zoute Ecotopen Westerschelde 1996
Description
An ecotope map was made of the Westerschelde in 1996. A salty ecotope map is built up by merging several layers of information from the intertidal area: soil height map (height and depth), geomorphological map, dry-fall duration map, flow map and salt map. The bottom height map is based on leads (depth) 1996 and laser altimetry (height) 1996.
Laser altimetry data combined with singlebeam trade discharge data where the laser altimetry data has been given a higher priority than the discharge data. In order to fill the entire ecotope map, it was then supplemented with multi-amplifications and additional data on Flemish territory.

Topographical data for the addition to the mowing:
30-07-1996 until 14-01-1997
Other topographical data (dykes, plates, banks, etc.) is no longer available. Service Desk Data cannot provide this. Laser altimetry data was not yet collected in 1996.
The grid has therefore been supplemented with topographical data from the original ('old') ecotope map grid of 1996, the origin of which is unclear.
The compilation of the data is therefore different from other ecotope maps. The loding data grid (lodges + additional lodges) has been placed 'over' the existing grid so that it is supplemented with the topographical data.
Depth data for the Sloehaven Vlissingen are not available for 1996. This area is filled with data from the 2001 grid.
The singlebeam data is interpolated using digipol.
