Description
Data on non-public wastewater disposal are collected on the basis of the Environmental Statistics Act (UStatG), last amended on 16.8.2005 (§8). Part of the reporting group includes the thermal power plants that generate electricity for public supply by using the heat energy of fuels or other energy sources to produce electrical energy. The other part of the reporting group includes manufacturing, mining and quarrying operations that either collect water themselves, or discharge water or wastewater into a water body, or – with exclusive external use, have a water volume of at least 10 000 m³ in the survey in accordance with Section 7, including manufacturing, mining and extraction of stones and earths, which either themselves collect water, discharge water or waste water into a water body or, if exclusively externally involved, have a water volume of at least 10 000 m³.
