Soil assessment – natural yield capacity (BGZ), regionally assessed
Description
The natural yield capacity is a characteristic for evaluating the soil as a site for agricultural use and is assessed by the number of soil and grassland lands. Soil and grassland land numbers are estimated depending on the type of soil, the state level, the origin and the climate. The soil type in particular influences many yield-forming processes. Thus, soils made of sand can provide little water with the nutrients dissolved in it during dryness, soils made of clay more. Soils made of clay can store interchangeably bound nutrients better than soils made of sand. Soils of the same type of soil have the ability to store water and nutrients and to provide crops to different levels of state (development/ageing levels). Such and other differences in location conditions, which are important for profitability, are reflected in the soil and grassland basic figures. With soil and grassland basic figures, a utilisation function of the soil is assessed in accordance with Section 2(2) of the BBodSchG (BBodSchG), namely in accordance with point 3.c) the utilisation functions as a location for agricultural and forestry use. The criterion chosen for this purpose is the natural yield capacity with the characteristic value of soil and grassland base number. The maps are available for the following scale levels: — 1: 1,000 – 10.000 for high-resolution or parcel-sharp planning, – 1: 10.001 – 35.000 for municipal level planning, – 1: 35.001 – 100.000 for planning in larger regions, – 1: 100.001 – 350.000 for nationally differentiated planning, – 1: 350.001 – 1000.000 for nationwide to nationwide planning. In this presentation, the natural yield capacity is classified regionally. Under the title “Soil assessment – natural yield capacity (BGZ), assessed nationwide”, there is still a classification of soil water exchange, which represents the natural yield capacity across the natural area boundaries uniformly throughout the country.
